Mulhuddart

This design (an entry for an ‘affordable housing’ competition in partnership with Fingal County Council) was based on the principle of island clusters within three distinctly identifiable 'Villages'. Accessible 'Pocket Parks' were provided throughout with the Tolka Valley district park to the South providing the principal open space.

Units varied from terraced 2/3 bed houses to 1/2 bed apartments and duplex units with feature blocks and Commercial/Retail units at key locations. The design of residential units was contemporary in treatment and influenced by the European approach to housing. The proposal was runner up in the competition.
