St. Ita's, Blackrock, Dublin

St. Ita’s is a small development of a staggered terrace of 3 houses on the grounds of a 17'th Century Glebe House in Blackrock. The project also involves the conversion of the existing house to office use.

The expression of the houses is in the form with a simple palette of materials used. At ground floor level the corner is scooped out of the volume to allow afternoon light deep into the open plan. The eaves line steps up towards St. Ita’s with projecting floor to ceiling openings on the upper levels.

Informal landscaping with wildflower planting and the courtyard arrangement of the parking preserve the sylvan garden of St.Ita’s.
