Kilkenny City Centre LAP

This Draft Local Area Plan seeks to continue the vitality and viability of Kilkenny City Centre.  It aims to strike a balance between preserving its architectural and archaeological heritage and facilitating modern living and enhancing the quality of life for its existing und future residents.

It examined and made proposals regarding: 

• urban design frameworks and land use strategies for 11 generative sites.
• a network of quality open spaces intregrating County wide strategies
• the core retail area uses and managment
• vehicular and pedestrian signage and linkages within the City Centre.
